Paris Fag Week is a series of five evenings organized by the gay artist front (fag).
The fag is a meeting group, a platform for collective critique, which initially met in parks around this question: “what can we expect from a gay artists’ collective today?”.

This open house invites you to discover and participate in the various avenues of response that have been opened up since then and which we believe are crucial for the struggle, for sex, and for art. The FAG Week will also be marked by the theme of threat: what threatens our struggles or our practices, and how we, in turn, want to become a threat to the forces that envy us, in a context where the subject of struggle has become civilized, legible, administered, and protected by the State.

To facilitate discussions around this research, we have imagined a political compass of threat: what threatens the power in place and commonplaces in today's queer theories and practices VS what freezes thought in favor of a white, binary, capitalist subject assimilated to the hetero-patriarchal order.

This compass, discussed collectively, can serve as a support throughout the session, inviting us to a collective engagement.

Disoriented, we will traverse archives of gay artist collectives, foamy zones, imaginary cruising grounds, to better answer our initial question: “what can we expect from a gay artist collective?” and think together about what our struggles are today.

The Fag Week event will conclude with a ritual and cocktails. The discussions, workshops, and tours during Fag Week are open to everyone!
