Cabaraï

Much anticipated in Paris, Cabaraï offers us a first with the legendary dancer Esraa Warda as guest of honor, coming specially from New York to close the Raï season.

Cabaraï was born in Marseille from the desire of queer people from the North African diaspora to create inclusive and safe spaces for celebration for the entire community. Cabaraï embodies the transgressive spirit of Algerian cabaret, where artists and audiences can feel free to be themselves, to dance, and to express all their emotions through the power of Raï music.

On the program: a hosting-performance by Lalla Aïcha, DJ sets, a unique show by dancer Esraa Warda and her musicians, and surprise guests!

+ 93 Super Raï Band as the opening act
Created in 2008 by Villes des Musiques du Monde, the 93 Super Raï Band is a unique musical workshop bringing together amateur musicians mentored by professionals. The group revisits the great standards of Maghreb and Raï music, blending brass, traditional percussion, vocals, and jazz influences, in the spirit of popular brass bands and street festivals.
