Conférence-débat « Sexualité et identifications minoritaires : comment les jeunes questionnent l’ordre de genre »

Thursday, May 07
04:00 PM - 06:30 PM
Institut national de la jeunesse et de l’éducation populaire

The journal Agora débats/jeunesses (n°102) explores, based on quantitative and qualitative surveys, how younger generations are opening up new possibilities in terms of sexuality and identity (trans, non-binary, non-heterosexual youth), questioning dominant norms and creating new relationships with gender.

On May 7, the issue's coordinating team and experts in the field will discuss the contribution of this research to understanding the links between gender order and generational openness to these new sexualities and gender positions.

Conference and debate with the participation of:

– Tania Lejbowicz , sociologist, postdoctoral researcher at INED, member of the Research Centre of the Paris Institute of Demography (CRIDUP)

– Nicolas Sallée , sociologist, professor at the University of Montreal, director of the Research Centre on Social Inequalities, Discrimination and Alternative Citizenship Practices

– Aurélia Mardon , sociologist, lecturer at the University of Lille, member of the Lille Centre for Sociological and Economic Studies and Research (Clersé)

– Michal Raz , associate researcher at the Research Centre of the Paris Institute of Demography (Cridup)
