Exposition "ECHOES OF DRAG THE LINE"

ECHOES OF DRAG THE LINE : brings together the photographic work of La Sototgraphy and the watercolors of Leila.Aqua around a common quest: to reveal the human behind the drag.

For two years, La sototgraphy explored, through black and white, the world of drag beyond the stage and its artifice. Her goal is not to showcase the costume, but to reveal the person behind it, with their emotions, strengths, and vulnerabilities.

The encounter with Leila.Aqua opened a new dimension to the project. Using previously unseen photographs from Drag The Line , she created watercolors with soft, relaxed colors, where emotion takes precedence over reality. Her works do not reproduce the images: they extend them, transform them, and give them a new resonance.

Between black and white and color, photography and painting engage in a dialogue in a shared quest for sincerity. This collaboration gives birth to “Echoes of Drag The Line,” a sensitive and immersive exhibition that offers a profoundly human, intimate, and contemporary perspective on the world of drag.
