At the heart of ballrooms, a culture has developed that blends dance, performance, and drag. In competitions, kitsch and flamboyance are the watchwords. Voguing is one of its best-known elements: an urban dance whose movements draw inspiration from model poses and contortion. Voguing has established itself both as a dance and as a cultural movement.

The festive evening's program includes a voguing workshop, a performance, and creative workshops led by the librarians. Come with your scissors and glitter!

Voguing workshops are offered by dancer and choreographer Melvin Hans . He has been a fixture on the Parisian voguing scene since its inception. He has collaborated with numerous artists and appeared in various music videos, television programs, and series, notably "Emily in Paris." Passionate about ballroom culture, he now shares his experience through performances and voguing workshops.
