Paris is Queer as Funk!
And also Queer as Soul, Queer as Pop, Queer as Jazz, Queer as Rock, Queer as Zouk and of course Queer as Folk!

Paris is Queer as Funk (PiQaFunk for short) is your new favorite music night! In the historic alcove of the Caveau des Oubliettes, we're showcasing the capital's queer icons! The evening starts with a showcase and continues with an open mic, where everyone is welcome, even straight allies!

If you are an artist, musician, singer or performer, come spend the night with us and share your talents!

The evening will be hosted by Jaj Hope, whom you may have met at Afro Queer Rising or at Madame Arthur's Salon.

The guest of this edition will be the prince/princess of jazz and electro: The Kaiju!

***The Kaiju***

Kaiju is a transgressive entity, defying the boundaries of genre and form, a hybrid of sounds and styles which, when mixed, give meaning and unity to chaos.

Hailing from Paris, France, Le Kaiju is a multifaceted artist: DJ, producer, performer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. They electrify clubs and stages with explosive and incendiary shows. A nonconformist in both music and genre, Le Kaiju pushes boundaries by blending jazz, hip hop, bass music, juke, and many other influences, embodying the complexity and contradictions of our time. With a highly percussive sound, their music focuses on the intensity and power of rhythm.

A major player in the vibrant Paris club scene, they are a resident on Rinse FM and have made a name for themselves by opening for iconic artists such as Mykki Blanco, Ascendant Vierge, Bonnie Banane and Eloi.

They recently founded the label Grand Remplacement Records.
