“No one may, in public spaces, wear clothing intended to conceal their face.”
We are told that the Republic is lived with an open face.
We are asked to justify our identities, our private lives, our choices…
They hunt us down, they follow us at night because of who we are.
We testify in front of uniforms, we demonstrate in front of rows of balaclavas, concealed RIOs, "forgotten" at the barracks.
Tonight, we're demanding the right to wear masks. Masks to protect our identities, to protect our privacy. But also to make a statement!
So, let's take out our masks, let's come and freeze our laughter, our tears, our anger, our flags, our voices...
In the unity of the crowd, let us reclaim our individualities, those which, when shared, make us strong, beautiful and proud communities.
