Through music, dance and speech, this queer and musical tale celebrates free identities, their march of disorder and their salvific excess like the flight of caged birds.

1603. Vienna. Strict religious law in power. A palace, a brothel, a prison.
2025. Vienna, Madrid, Berlin, Paris, Budapest, Washington, everywhere. The fascist far right is spreading like a cancer. In Prague, young Angelo is elected to the government. Culture resists in a headquarters, the Cabaret of Shadows.

One day, Isabella, the cabaret's star performer, mysteriously loses her voice, her face darkens, and she can no longer dance. Did Angelo strike without leaving a trace? Or is the poison coming from within? Isabella becomes a mirror to the struggles of the rebels against the regime, and everyone wonders: can art still save them?
