Vénus Hors Club : Dans Les Studios De Production
Behind the scenes of the lineups and every set are the people who shape the sound. At the heart of music creation, these individuals fill the USB drives in the shadows, enabling DJs to practice their craft. For this new edition of Vénus Hors Club, we've decided to shine a spotlight on producers with a program combining discussions, networking, and hands-on experience. On the agenda: a talk addressing the issue of visibility for female producers (FINTA), and two introductory sessions to the profession, including a masterclass on production and a workshop exploring the diverse rhythms of electronic music.
PROGRAM
✦ Talk about the role of female producers: with Lucia Loot, Dawghters Collective, Mana Mind and Sharouh
✦ Rhythm workshops: with DJ and producer Lucia Loot
✦ Production masterclass for beginners in a gender-inclusive setting: with producer Sharouh
VENUS CLUB: WHO ARE WE?
Venus Club was born from the desire to offer a safe and supportive space exclusively for artists, producers, DJs, and gender minority professionals working within the electronic music industry. For the past five years, the Parisian collective has been involved in a multitude of projects:
• Events with lineups that are most often 100% gender-segregated
• Podcasts that showcase a variety of musical talents and styles
• Introductory and learning sessions on mixing for women and
non-binary people like the program The Wake of Venus.
SAFER SPACE
We aim to offer our audiences a Safer Zone where everyone can express themselves as they wish, through their dance, their style, their world. That's why we invite you to come as you are, and to respect those who do the same.
We apply a zero-tolerance policy regarding violence and discriminatory remarks, whether sexual, racist, LGBTQIAphobic, fatphobic, ableist... We also advocate verbal, informed and revocable consent (as defined by the Consentis association): without yes, it's no!
During our events, if you witness or are a victim of an assault, you can turn to the organizers, who will be there to listen to you and support you.
For a free, inclusive and safer party ♡.
